Two great traditions in one! Made just like a classic Irish coffee, but with espresso.

Since the original carnation of the Irish coffee was meant to reflect a good ole pint of Guinness, this should be served in a clear glass.

Start out with a couple heaping teaspoons of sugar in the bottom of the glass and stir in a generous shot of Irish Whiskey.

Brew up a double espresso and mix it into the sugar and whiskey while it’s still piping hot. Then gently top with cream and let it swirl in to give the Guinness effect.

For a quick and easy short cut, try a 50/50 mix of espresso and Baileys Irish Cream.
